Baked with Love: A Valentine's Party with Friends

Hi friends!  Happy Valentine's Day!  I hope you and yours are filled with love today!

Yes, to many, Valentine's Day is nothing more than a commercial holiday.  I get it.  I do.  However, in the past few years, I've grown to really enjoy Valentine's Day and all the sweetness that surrounds it.  I think it's mostly because I have two little ones and I find myself wanting to make each holiday/event special for them.  And that's exactly what I tried to do when I threw together a "Baked With Love" party/play date for some of their sweet friends.

Warner was actually the one who asked for a Valentine's Day.  I must say I was super excited with his request.  Go Figure.  This mama loves to throw a fun party and that may have just rubbed off on him...

I began planning as I always do...with many trips to Target.  Ha ha!  Actually, I'm proud to say that nothing at this party cost over $2 (except for the pack of dishtowels that were 4 in a pack for $3.98).  I pride myself on throwing parties that are very budget friendly.  This was no exception.

Each child was given an apron made from a dishtowel (if you follow me on Instagram you saw that process), a chef hat (that I scored at our Junior League Clean Sweep Sale for $1...6 in a never opened pack), a  felt pouch to store the valentines with passed out (Target Dollar Spot), and lots of cupcakes to decorate however they wanted!

A fun time was certainly had by all!

Happy Valentine's Day!
