Campbell's 2ND Birthday: A Banner, Favor Tags, and a Shirt

Here are a few things I've been working on for Campbell's birthday. If you follow me on Instgram then you've already seen this stuff.

The Banner
Right before Christmas, Target had this adorable vintage Mickey calendar on the dollar spot.  I grabbed it, just in case, Mickey was to be our birthday theme.  Luckily it is, so this calendar became a simple bunting banner.
The Favor Tags
I told you in my last post, that I've been learning how to use Photo Shop.  I created these chalkboard looking Mickey ears for a few signs I've already made (more on those later), so I thought it would be fun to make the favor tags using the same theme.  I used Mickey's iconic "See ya real soon" phrase typed up in a free Disney font.  The favors have arrived and I'll show you those soon enough...promise!
A Birthday Shirt
This shirt is for Campbell to wear on his actual birthday (and after).  I actually have another shirt planned for the party.  I ordered it.  It arrived.  And then I had to return it for another size.  Fingers crossed it arrives in time, but at least we have this as a backup if needed.
This shirt was made with my Silhouette.  It was my first time using the heat transfer material and I'm excited with how it turned out!  You'll get to see the final product on the birthday boy soon enough!

More to come!! :)

Campbell's 2ND Birthday

I apologize for being MIA for awhile.  Back in February we were hit hard with the AWFUL stomach bug and then life in general just kept me away from here.

With Campbell's 2ND (how can that be?!) birthday approaching next month, I decided it was the perfect time to get back to the blog.

Let's start with the invitation...

Yes, my beyond obsessed child is getting a Mickey Mouse party this year!  You all know how I feel about character parties, but as usual, I'll be placing my own "twist" on it!

I was super excited and proud of myself for creating this invitation.  I've been trying to teach myself Photoshop, so this was quite an accomplishment for me.  However, before I could even think twice about it, I merged all the layers together and forgot to change the pixels.  UGH!  Thank goodness I had a sweet friend who was willing to help me out and fix it for me!  (Thanks, Leslie)

The plan for the party is to have a simple, small backyard get together with family and a few close friends.

I'm excited to share some of the projects I'll be working on in preparation for the party!  I hope you'll continue to check back in!

Stay tuned...
