If It's Not One Thing...

I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day! I feel like it's been forever since my last post. We had one of those weekends that goes from great to not so great in the blink of an eye...

We started our Saturday by taking a little trip to the lake.

Warner enjoyed being in the shallow part of the water, but wasn't too keen on being in the deep parts.  This is just fine with this Mama who is not a fan of lake water.  Don't get me wrong.  I love going to the lake and going out on the boat, but I do not like getting in the water.  I prefer pool water where I'm able to see the bottom, but that's just me...

Anyway, we came home in time for Warner's nap.
I baked some banana bread, caught up on some TV, etc.

Then Warner woke up and his body was "on fire."  After a quick temperature check we realized he had a fever of 103.  Being that he doesn't really get fevers I was a little freaked out, but gave him some Advil and saw that it was coming down.

We got to spend some time with Uncle Craig and although we were a bit "whiny" Warner was generally happy.  He was eating fine and sleeping fine.  Nothing too concerning.

Sunday, Mother's Day, we woke up with a fever of 104.  We immediately called the on call nurse who said to take him to Urgent Care if it reached 105.  I was definitely freaked out, but once again with Advil it started to at least go down a little bit.

Bright and early Monday morning I took him to our pediatrician because he now looked like this...

Yep.  You guessed it.  Hand, Foot, Mouth.
Oh and on top of that he broke out from the sunscreen we used on him Saturday...
I wanted to cry.

I honestly have no idea where he got it.  He isn't in a daycare setting or around any other kids, so my guess is I carried home from school. The doctor said you could carry it and not even know it!

Poor, Poor baby.

Luckily he's been pretty happy and still sleeping through the night.

I just feel like if it's not one thing, it's another.

Knocking out a tooth, now this...

Oh well!  At least his immune system will be good by the time he's in Kindergarten, right?! :)

Confession: I'm already planning his 2nd birthday and have even bought a few things here and there...sad, huh? :)
