Class of 2010

Tonight Dave found out that he was accepted into law school at USC! I am so proud of him for all he has done to get to this point. He is the epitome of hard work and dedication. Congratulations, Dave! I love you very much and I believe in all that you are and all you aspire to be! Pin It

Dancing With The Stars

Joey Joe (for all the NKOTB fans) singing Sinatra

"Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy!"

Group Dance

Joey Lawrence and Edyita

Cheryl and Drew doing their "Thriller" routine

The "stars" and their partners

What a trooper! Thanks for enduring, Dave!

Yes, I am a HUGE fan of the show! Tonight, Dave and I went to see the tour. It was really fun and the band was AWESOME! The 4 guys were the "Stars" - Joey McIntyre, Joey Fatone, Drew Lachey, and Joey Lawrence. They actually sang a few songs together and it was really quite good! I guess a little reunion of the boy bands would be a good way to describe it. Now, if you are familiar with the show some of the professional dancers that were there were: Julianne, Cheryl, Alec, Louis, Edyita, and Kym. Check out some of the highlights. I'll post a few videos later! I had a GREAT time! Pin It

Pottery and The Publick House

The Mad Platter

Happy Birthday, Holly!

Hard at work!

The Publick House

Ashlee is going to kill me for putting this picture on here!

Yesterday afternoon, me, Kelley, Ashlee, and Holly met at The Mad Platter to paint some pottery. Since Holly's birthday was the day before, we decided to surprise her with some homemade Magnolia Bakery cupcakes! After the painting, we met the boys (Dave and Grady that is) at The Publick House for dinner and trivia. Our team (The Maduro Room) kind of sucked, but it was a good time! Can't wait for our next outing, girls -- trivia at Hush maybe -- ha ha!

Goodbye, Canon Powershot! Hello, Sony Cybershot!

Out with the old and...

in with the new!

Have I ever told you how WONDERFUL Dave is? Well, tonight he surprised with a brand new camera. My old camera broke last week and the lens wouldn't shut. Dave knows how much I LOVE my camera, so he bought me a new one! The old Canon had 3.2 megapixels and the new Sony has 8.1. I can't wait to try it out!! Thanks, Dave! You're the BEST! Pin It

I'm LOVING this song right now...

HAVE A LISTEN!
I'm sure in a few weeks it will be overplayed (it might already be overplayed to some of you), but for right now, I'm loving it! It's just one of those sweet, feel good songs! Pin It

Update #4

Liver Enzymes are at 147. This is down from 213 yesterday. This is still a little high, but it is going DOWN, not UP!! :)
Glucose - 80. This is a bit low, but the Dr. said sometimes it can be lower in the morning, just make sure to feed him every 3 hours!!!

We have another appointment on Monday! Pin It

Update #3

Winston is home now. I picked him up about 5:00. The vet said his liver level is continuing to go down and so she was pleased. When I finally got to see him he ran up, jumped on me, and gave me tons of kisses. She sent me home with some prescription dog food. I got home and fed him and he scarfed down his food like he'd never eaten before in his life. He was also ready to run around and play with his favorite blue bone. I think now he is finally pooped. He hasn't slept in 24 hours (mom hasn't really either) so he's starting to look VERY VERY SLEEPY! I think he and I will be sound asleep shortly! He has to return to the vet in the morning for another level check, so I'll let you know what they say. Thanks again to everyone for their support. Sometime I think, "Wow, he is just a dog!" And even though I know this he is not "just a dog to me!" :) Pin It

Update #2

I just got off the phone with the vet. Winston's glucose level is 108. She said it is a little low, but it doesn't start to become worrisome until it falls under 60. She said that with all he's been through she thinks it is pretty normal. The vet will run another liver enzyme level at 4:30. If all continues to look well they will pull out the catheter. She told me to come get him about 5:20. (If they're letting me take my dog home that is is good news, right!?) I have to bring him back tomorrow morning at 8 for another level check and then we'll go from there. She seems to be positive and thinks he will be fine! I'll keep you posted! Keep your fingers crossed and your prayers coming that the 4:30 enzyme levels will have again dropped! Posting these updates is rather therapeutic for me, so forgive me if I give A LOT of updates! Poor Guy!

Here are some pictures I took this morning of Winston. Poor guy! Keep praying!!!

Update

I went and picked Winston up this morning. He was wagging his tail and gave me lots of kisses. I had to take him straight to my vet, so I did and now they are going to keep him for the day and watch his levels. Apparently, Winston's glucose level and one of his liver levels were fine, but his liver enzyme level was high. They checked him at 7am and he was at about 450. Apparently, a normal level is 100. When I got to my vet they checked him again and his liver enzyme level was in the 200s. It looks like it is coming down which is very good! The vet seems positive with the way the levels are reading, but wanted to be safe and keep him for the day. They aren't going to give him anymore fluids and hopefully they will be able to take the catheter out. If all goes well Winston will be home by 6 today and I'll just have to bring him back in the morning for another check. Things are looking good, but you can never be too sure, so please continue to pray for him. I appreciate everyone's well wishes and prayers. You have no idea how much it means to me.

Sidenote - does anyone have pet insurance? I am seriously considering getting the emergency plan, because for last night alone I had to pay A LOT OF MONEY. Thank the lord for my father is all I can say. I will be paying him back for A LONG TIME!!! Pin It

Please Pray!

Tonight Winston was admitted to the hospital. I walked downstairs and noticed Winston had been in my purse and ate my pack of IceBreakers Dragonfruit gum. He started throwing up and then acting really weird. I decided to call the emergency vet just in case. The vet told me to immediately put him in the car and get him there ASAP! Apparently the artificial sweetner, xylitol, can be fatal to dogs. Currently, Winston is in the hospital hooked to an IV. He must have his blood glucose levels and liver levels checked every 2 hours. I will keep you updated on my little guy. It is amazing how much like family dogs can become. Please just pray for him. It means the world to me. Pin It

I Got Flowers!

Every girl loves to get flowers, right!? Well, I know I do! The best is when you get them for no particular reason - just because. Today, I was surprised with some beautiful "just because" flowers! Dave sent them to me to let me know he'd be home soon (this Friday to be exact) and he missed me! What a guy! :) My beautiful bouquet consists of a dozen roses and calla lilies! Needless to say, I'm a happy girl! :) Pin It

EdVenture with The Doozies!

This morning I went to EdVenture with The Doozies! We had such a great time! I think the twins could have stayed in the grocery store the ENTIRE time and would have been just fine! Jehu loved the firetruck and thought Eddie was pretty cool! Emma, on the other hand, wasn't quite sure what to think of Eddie. However, as we left she said, "Bye Bye, Eddie! Hug! Next time." I guess that means another adventure to EdVenture is in store! Pin It

Girl's Night!

Holly and her non-working camera!

Tonight me, Kelley, Holly, Ashlee, and Amy went to dinner at Tsunami in the Vista. The food was yummy and the place had a great atmosphere! As you know, us blogging fools ALWAYS have our cameras with us. Tonight, however, we had a few issues... OF COURSE I didn't change the batteries in my camera so it died! Holly had a camera catastrophe as well. NOTE TO SELF - Do not clean camera with Fantastic -- even the smallest drop. Thank goodness Kelley's camera worked!!! Pin It

Quick Trip

My dad and I went for a quick one night stay at the Harrah's Cherokee Hotel and Casino. If you know us, we love to play the machines - (I mean the man took me to Vegas for my 21st birthday for goodness sakes)! Anyway, my dad was entered in some kind of drawing up there, had a complimentary free stay, and I have never been -- so off we went! I ended up losing a good bit, but my Dad's philosophy is this, "It was quality father/daughter time!" I love that guy! :) Pin It

A Crafty Kind of Day...

Ok, so with the rain coming and going I thought it would be a great day to do some crafting and redecorating. I know it looks like I spent all day doing these things, but I really didn't. They were simple and easy projects...just the way I like them!

First, I bought some new pillows for my couches. I read that if you grow tired of your colors then to add a throw or pillows to your couch. I think, Holly, we may have discussed this too? Anyway, it definitely gives it a new feel and I'm liking it!

I have been looking for awhile now for a memo board of sorts. I couldn't find anything I really liked, so I decided to make my own! I already have my wrought iron creation (which I stole from Pottery Barn) for pictures, but I needed something for cards, invites, etc. and was tired of a cluttered fridge...I'm weird, I know! Anyway, the green came out a little brighter then I expected, but nonetheless it's fun and adds some great color to the kitchen!

My mom decided to give me a bunch of wine corks today that she couldn't think of anything to do with. Of course I took them and decided to make some magnets! I still have a few left...any other ideas??

Finally, I bought some fresh cut flowers for my new Southern Living vase!

Hmmm...I wonder what I'll tackle next! Pin It
